Yes I know that it was covered in an earlier post, but I haven’t really introduced the new section of the site formally just yet, so I’m taking this opportunity to do just that. As spoken about in my earlier post, talking about the updates the site is going through, the Be Like Ronaldinho Image Gallery is up and running after three long days configuring the software. What a nightmare. But it was worth the effort in the end, because now we have a nice little gallery which boasts around 475+ images of Ronaldinho. This includes wallpapers also.

Future Plans

I was going to add in animated images showing off freestyling moves, but upon testing the gallery, the entire thing just slowed down. So for now enjoy the images because I will be investing in a dedicated server soon, so that all the images that are up at the moment and the others that are to come, can be viewed quickly. I really do hope that by making these changes to the blog, you can enjoy your visit even more. Please let me know if you have any ideas that could make this page even better, I’m open to any suggestions, whatever helps you.

That means only one thing. Big fight. Many young men think that getting into a fight is a chance to prove themselves as real tough guys and shows that they’re someone not to mess with. Which is true to an extent, but personally I think that fighting has a time and place, never on the football field and never during a game. I personally don’t like fighting altogether because it goes against everything that I believe and stand for, let alone the time it wastes on the game. Now let’s get to the basis of this post. It was last weekend and once again all the games were washed out due to the rain, so I decided that I would go along with my brother to the YMCA again to watch some Futsal (Indoor Football).

Hey I Only Came To Watch!?

But no, the team wanted me to play with them because they were short one guy. It was funny because I went prepared to play, because I hadn’t played in 2 weeks so I was itching to get out onto the court. So finally the match starts, I stayed on the bench because it wasn’t my team and right off the bat the opposition scored a couple of goals. I went on and within 2 minutes I scored a goal from half way, thanks to the ignorance of the goal keeper, who had come out of his area. Back off I went and we scored a second goal. Drawn at 2-2, an argument broke out between one of our guys and one of the opposition. Within 20 seconds both benches had cleared due to the escalation of the argument.

One Big Crowd Of Players In The Middle

Where the referee is standing is pretty much where we were gathered around. At this point in time I didn’t want to stop playing the game so I urged my team mates to come back to the bench so that we could go ahead and win the whole thing. But it wasn’t to be. Although I didn’t realise at the time, a short stocky guy from the opposition came around to my mate, who started the whole thing and swung at him, clocking him in the jaw. I’m thinking to myself “Okay, that was a cheap shot, but we’ll leave that alone so that the referee can give him a red card and then we can easily win”. For a good 5 minutes we were holding off one another from fighting back and in the end that guy didn’t get a red card and the whole game was abandoned by the referee. So my friend got hit for nothing, which made me think about whether I should have knocked that stocky guy out cold.

Fighting Is Never The Answer

It might sound like something that your mother would say, but it is true. My actions were good ones and I am glad right now that none of my team mates decided to retaliate. It just showed them and the spectators that we were much more professional than the other team. Above all, fighting is ugly and could never be associated with football, because football is the beautiful game, the world game, meaning people of all cultures and backgrounds can come together and play in friendly competition. The next time you are provoked, never ever fight back, because for all you know, the other person will probably get a red card and I say that with experience, because it has happened to me at least 3 times. I’ll leave you now with the lighter side of football fights :)

Well I just wanted to let you know what is going on with the website. As you may or may not have noticed, there have been changes going on with the website which is one of the first steps I have taken towards making your visit to Be Like Ronaldinho much easier and nicer in general. Not only will you be reading the blog which will help your game and talking about football in general, but it will include the already successful Video Gallery, Image Gallery, Interviews with Ronaldinho, Profiles of Ronaldinho and Statistics. This is just the tip of the iceberg for the website as there will be a new interface coming by the end of this week, which I am personally excited about. Just a heads up, what you see at the moment is not the new template I’m thinking of :D

100 Post Milestone

Be Like Ronalidnho is a 100 post old blog which I am proud about and already we have people from all over the world who are learning how to become great players like Ronaldinho. It really is great to read many people’s different stories and where they come from. Remember, Ronaldinho came from humble beginnings in Porto Alegre, Brazil and became the best player in the world. With these updates under way and milestones met, Be Like Ronaldinho is slowly going to become the best source for everything Ronaldinho/Playing Football related. Stay Tuned!
