After the game played on the weekend against Real Sociedad, with the scores resting at 2-0, I felt that Ronaldinho is now starting to come back into form and to his good old best on the football pitch. It truly gave me great joy to see the great man back and tearing up the opposition. As we know Ronaldinho was ill for around 2 weeks and offline sources indicate that Coach Rijkaard had Ronaldinho stick to his own training regimen isolated from the team sessions to improve his physical condition, therefore allowing the Brazillian to see himself play all the way to the end of the Spanish Primera Liga season.
Critical Win For Barcelona
This was an absolutely critical win for Barcelona which sees them stay a top the league standings, 4 and 5 points clear of Real Madrid respectively. The only catch here is that both Sevilla and Real Madrid are to play against one another this week and it is in our best interests to see Real Madrid win that match. Now onto the match coverage. No goals were let into either net during the first half and both sides needed a win. Our boys needed to get on top of this game and failed to do that for the entire 45 minutes and they could smell the game getting away from them. It is also worth a mention that Barcelona had plenty of chances in that first half. But the real action was to come from the second half.

Ronaldinho and Barca Come Out Firing
And in the 47th minute to be exact, Ronaldinho was confronted with 4 defenders. With great vision, he found Iniesta on a run towards the goal, not before splitting the defence in half with a well timed pass to see Iniesta round the goal keeper and calmly place the ball in the back of the net. It was to be Barca’s night and the seal on the win was to come in the 87th minute by Samuel Eto’o who made a run towards goal, coming off a great left footed pass by Ronaldinho from his own half. Once confronted with the goal keeper, the Cameroonian made no mistakes and cemented the 3 points that Barca was to receive.

The Spanish Primera Liga Champions?
This win has put Barcelona in pole position to win the competition for a third consecutive time, making Coach Frank Rijkaard one of the most successful coaches in La Liga. Great credit goes to Ronaldinho, the mastermind of both goals and it was his precise and effective passing that helped Barcelona on its way to the championship. Their next match is away against Getafe CF on the 10th of this month. This will be a championship deciding match and will effectively be a win or lose not only for the match, but the contentions Barca have for the title
