It’s that time of the year where kids are frolicking around looking for easter eggs, easter bunnies are seen everywhere and seafood is consumed by the tonnage. It truly is a great time to kick back with your friends and family to enjoy each others company. I’m not too sure about other countries in terms of their dates for Easter, however, Good Friday just so happened to fall on yesterdays date. So what did I do?

Celebrating For The Right Reasons

I personally went to church to celebrate the true reason as to why we have easter. Because if we don’t recognise why we have it and what it means to us, then we lose sight of our beliefs and holidays like this become commercialised. The only bad thing about Good Friday is the fact that there is nothing good on TV However, later at night they showed The Passion of the Christ without ads so I was happy to watch that. I hope that with time, holidays like this one, really make us better people, people that lead by Jesus’ example. I’m not saying go become a Christian, I’m trying to say is that we need to lead by His example of loving one another and giving up your life for your neighbour.

Love Your Enemies, Even More Than Your Neighbours

It may not be Easter where you are at this time, in your part of the world, but I implore you to love your enemies even more so than your neighbours, so that you may have quality of life. A life that isn’t filled with negative thoughts and pessimistic views of other people, but rather optimistic outlooks on the world and faith that many others will follow by example. Well thats my rant about Easter, but I did get some chocolates which is always one of the best things about this holiday. Don’t you just love chocolate bunnies?
