You most probably want to hear how we went yesterday? So I’m going to talk about wach side and how each respective team did against the opposition. I personally didn’t have a great day at the office. When I say that I mean both how I played and the injuries I received. Let’s get into the reviews.
Team B vs Chester Hill B
The coach put me on for the first half of this one to see if the B team could benefit from my presence there. I’m not sure what I was supposed to achieve but nevertheless, in the first half we conceded 2 goals, which in my opinion were absolutely by luck. Both were those types of goals where the player crosses the ball in to find a team mates head, but instead sails towards the net for a goal. Frustrating stuff because we were all over them the entire time. Half-time came by and I wasn’t too tired from the running I had done. But I was to stay off so that I could play for the A team as well. In the second half, we were able to get a spot kick in the penalty area and one of our defenders took a well placed goal. By this time the score had escalated to 4-1 and when the full-time whistle blew it was all over. Our team played well however, execution was a miss, we lacked great strikers. I myself am a good striker of the ball, however, my purpose is better served on the wing.
Team A vs Chester Hill A
I didn’t end up starting this time, which just built up more lactic acid in my legs for no purpose at all. I was to didn’t play for an entire game basically i.e The 2nd half of the B game and the 1st half of the A game. When the coach finally did want me to come on I was feeling rather sluggish and out of whack, as they say. Playing hard out and then waiting another 90 minutes to play again was a crucial error on the part of the coach in my opinion because as soon as I got out there, I was tired. It may have been because I was too lazy from sitting on the sideline, I really didn’t know. Let’s talk about the game. Out team really did well as we stringed a lot of good passes together to create some really good plays. I had a hand in a couple of the goals that were scored to my own credit
When the full-time whistle blew it was 3-0 in our favour. I wasn’t happy with my game.
Lessons Come From Playing in Matches
This is so true. It has been too long since I first began to play and every time I do play a match, I learn something about myself and the way I play. When you go out to play on the pitch I encourage you to learn everything you can about how you played and what you can do next time to better yourself. In my case, I learnt that I shouldn’t have a huge break in between games because it dealt me a bad game. By the time both these matches were done, I had to my credit a list of injuries:
- Left Wrist Tendon Damage
- Right Arm Bruise
- Jaw Hurting and Clicking
- Right Foot Bruising
- Left Big Toe Blister
- Right Big Toe Blister
Looks impressive doesn’t it, but I personally don’t like the idea of picking up a new injury every match that I play. I’m sure that it will end soon though. We won’t be playing anymore though for the next 2 weeks due to public holidays and other occasions, which is good news for me so the injuries can heal. That’s good news for you as well, because I will be posting more frequently than usual…
