I haven’t mentioned my footballing life before and now I will reveal the details to you. I am currently coaching/playing for Archangel Michael, a church football team who have made it to the Australian Premier League where the young top class teams play against one another. This year we have had the honour of competing in the 6-a-side, Great Lakes United Soccer Club Viking Challenge where first place received $4000 to go towards equipment and other materials. I couldn’t play mainly due to my injury, which doesn’t allow me to play a hard, physically demanding game for too long. I was there mostly for support and so was the case for 11 other players on the team because we could only play 6 people for the games and 3 reserves.
Let’s Start From The Beginning
The entire team met up at around 7:30pm at the church and off we went to Forster. The area is around 4 hours north of Sydney where we were situated, so I had a long trip to look forward to. I don’t mind aeroplane flight times of 12 hours but a bus trip of 4 hours becomes a whole lot worse than that. By the time we got there I was absolutely dead tired and I wanted to get to sleep, however, some of the boys already brought out theXbox and started playing Pro Evolution Soccer 5. Who was I to refuse to play the game
I took everyone out and did this until 4 in the morning.
So What About The First Game?
Tomorrow we were to start our campaign to win that 4 grand that the team needed, how were we going to fair? would we get some much needed wins? Stick around to find out
