The first day of competition, I don’t know how to feel about it. My team Archangel Michael is playing and we have two teams, Team A and Team B. Unfortunately, Team A has so much individual brilliance but we can’t gel together as a team, which reminds me of a certain Spanish Primera Liga team. Then we have the B team, where each member has mediocre skills but as a team they do very well. Therefore in the end it seems as though both sides even out when it comes to putting goals on the scoreboard.

We Need to Overcome This If We’re Gonna Win This Year

Like the heading says, we need to address these separate issues per team if we’re going to retain our championship title. I have personally decided to begin training in my own time in addition to the team training that I go through every week. This way I can be much more fitter and skilled, but more importantly, it helps out the team, not only myself. I truly hope others in my team are doing the same.

Where’s This Happening?

I am totally unsure exactly where the game is being held, however, I am sure to hitch a ride with a fellow team member, which brings me to the main point of this post. When you join a team, whether it be football, basketball, baseball, hockey whatever, it is all about becoming one and working as one unit, plus at the same time you are having fun when after the game or before the game, usually by hanging out and chilling. When you win a game, the concept of a team becomes even sweeter when you can go out for celebratory lunch or by heading down to the beach for a recovery session. I hope that tomorrow brings with it skills that I haven’t displayed before in any game and good fortune for the scoreboard. Did I mention we need to defend our title this year :)

I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of the iMac but I hadn’t come across the newer version. I was at university and they had a bunch of these in the computer labs and between you and me, I don’t even think we need them but who am I to complain. These iMacs are the ones that come with the webcam, funky mouse and the screen is much bigger too, it looks like 19 inches. The funny thing about the mouse is that it has a tiny scroller on the top of the mouse. It is so small, if scrolled down and up it of course scrolls up and down the page, but you can scroll left and right enabling you to go back and forth throughout the webpages you are visiting. It gives a new meaning to convenience in my opinion. Here’s a pic for you to decide.

By the way, what website is that I have open? I thought you might know :) Technorati Profile

Brazil beat Ghana 1-0 in a friendly international played in Stockholm yesterday. With a goal from Vágner Love after just 10 minutes, Brazil secured the win. Ronaldinho was in fine form and orchestrated the Brazilian attack for the entire match. Coached by Dunga, the Brazilians received the only goal as early as the 10th minute with Ronaldinho’s corner was flicked on by Kaká for an unmarked Vágner Love to provide the last blow. Our man Ronaldinho played especially well with creative passing at the top of his list.

Ghana Need Their Equaliser

In the second half we saw a different Ghana than the previous half. They began to control the game and it would be the sharp thinking of the Brazilian goalkeeper Julio César which would ensure his side would take out the match. Ghana, coached by Claude Le Roy’s, were without Essien and Appiah, which would turn out to do them in. The African striker Draman rendered himself useless by conceding a red card in the 78th minute. Party for Brazil and great for Ronaldinho who has vindicated himself as a vital part of the Brazilian team.

Well done to Ronnie and I hope that he keeps representing his country just as well as his club.

My brother likes to make videos and so I asked him to make one based on Ronaldinho’s top 10 goals. I didn’t choose these goals personally but there are around four there that take my breath away, not meaning to be too cliched. Personally I enjoy number 4 and 7 the most because they’re both so hard to do when under so much pressure. To Ronaldinho, the best to play the game today, until you and I come along in the future :)

It was our first trial match and it was the debut for the R10 Teimpo boots that I had purchased the day before. Nervous stuff ey? Anyway they felt great and all on the team were rather breathtaken by the boots and how they looked. The only question yet to be answered was coming.

How Did They Make Me Play?

Great touch and feeling the boots gave me. Then the unthinkable happened. 5 minutes into the game I took a run down the right. Bam! I got past one then a few swipes to get past another. By this time, my team mates were nowhere to be seen and it was just me and three defenders. Like an ambush, an opposition player came up from behind and slid in for the ball. Crash, I fell to the ground hard.

How Did It Happen?

As I was going down, I decided that the best way to get the ball back would be to rebound off my left arm to ascertain possession before the others.Wrongdescision as I fell onto my wrist pushing it back with all my weight behind it. I instantly knew something was wrong :( I ran off fearing the worst and when ice was applied, it swelled like a melon. I’ve been pretty sad about this lately and this was a good place to vent it out. I went for an X-Ray and the radiologist has the nerve to say to me:

It’s definately a fracture, no doubt about it. Let’s see what the doctor says

In her face when the qualified doctor comes up to me and says:

The X-Ray has revealed there is no bone damage, you need to get some rest only

Thank God because I wasn’t looking forward to months out of the competition that were coming up. I needed to represent and this injury could have been a lot worse.

Fate Sure Is Cruel

So now I gotta sit through all the games and watch my team mates take out the opposition. I don’t know about you, but when I watch others play football, I just need to get out of my seat and join them. Football gives me joy and not being able to play is the greatest way to make me depressed. Here’s to good health and a speedy recovery :)
